About Our American Cousins
The Families & Individuals listed here are the assembled ancestors and Allied
Kinfolk of my children Sarah Elizabeth & Joseph Matthew King. Evidence
indicates direct ancestors include George Soule, Mayflower passenger & signer
of the Mayflower Compact (1620); Thomas Greene, founder of St. Mary`s Colonie
(1634) & 2nd Provincial Governor of Maryland (1650); several Revolutionary War
& War Between the States Veterans; & an 1880 champion cyclist, Henry W.
Higham, Sr. A 1st cousin, John Hanson, was the 1st elected President of the
US under Articles of the Confederation (1781). Many more colorful settlers,
pioneers & other characters are present as well.

Families are concentrated in Counties of Albemarle, Alexandria City, Fluvanna,
& Fairfax, VA; Chautauqua Co./Jamestown area of NY; St. Mary`s & Prince
George`s Co. in MD. Our transient nature has moved our DNA all over the
country. Geographically listed by earliest appearance, some surnames contained
herein are:
